Teacher and director of Music Together^® in SE Gilbert, Colleen Porter has a degree in Music Education from Arizona State University with a special emphasis in string instruments and early childhood music. She comes from a background of varied musical experiences including participation in musicals, choirs,and orchestras. In the last several years she has enjoyed her role as a music teacher: in preschools and public schools, as a private music instructor (violin), and as director of young musicians in the West Valley Youth Orchestra cadet group. She is a certified Music Together and Lets Play Music teacher and attends frequent workshops and trainings to stay on top of the latest research and ideas in Music Education.
